The (FAS) Florida Academic Scholars and (FMS) Florida Medallion Scholars Scholarships are part of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program. Both scholarships are state-funded and provide recipients with financial assistance at different levels. For students who earn the FMS, 100 percent of tuition is covered. For students who earn the FAS, 75 percent of tuition is covered.
Recipients of the FAS need to earn a score of 1330 on the SAT or a 29 ACT composite score. Recipients of the FMS need to either earn a score of 1190 on the SAT or a 24 composite score on the ACT.
Yes. Put simply, they are different tests, so each test has its own bootcamp. The ACT recently made several changes to their test, most of which should benefit students.
Bootcamp sessions occur once a week for a total of 6 sessions, each lasting 2 hours. This means you receive 12 hours of face-to-face test prep instruction specifically for SAT and ACT college admissions preparation. Local high school teachers, who have nearly a decade of experience in tutoring and teaching SAT crash courses and ACT crash courses, lead these sessions.

Yes. The new test is shorter, and now students have more time for each question. Plus, the Science Subtest is now optional!
